Final Syllabus for NEET-UG

The Medical Council of India (MCI) recommends the following syllabus for National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for admission to MBBS courses across the country (NEETUG) after review of various State syllabi as well as those prepared by CBSE, NCERT and COBSE. This is to establish a uniformity across the country keeping in view the relevance of different areas in medical education.

Registration for JEE (Advanced) 2016

The Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) 2016 [JEE (Advanced) 2016] will be conducted by the seven zonal IITs under the guidance of the Joint Admission Board (JAB) 2016. The performance of a candidate in this examination will form the basis for admission to the Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s and Dual Degree programs (entry at the 10+2 level) in all the IITs and the ISM. The decisions of the JAB 2016 will be final in all matters related to JEE (Advanced) 2016 and admission to IITs and ISM.



SCHEDULE OF JEE (ADVANCED) 2016

The examination consists of two papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2, each of three hours duration and will be held as per the following schedule:

Day, date              Sunday, 22 May 2016
Time                     Paper 1 09:00 to 12:00 IST

                             Paper 2 14:00 to 17:00 IST

Both the papers are compulsory.

NOTE: The schedule will remain the same even if 22 May 2016 is declared a
public holiday. Candidates using the services of a scribe (see 13. SERVICES OF A
SCRIBE) will get one hour compensatory time i.e., the end time will be 13:00
IST for Paper 1 and 18:00 IST for Paper 2.

List of top ten universities in India

Here is the list of top ten universities:
The rankings were based on a methodology which drew recommendations from Core Committee set up by MHRD.
The broad parameters used for assessment were:
  • Teaching, Learning and Resources
  • Research and Professional Practices
  • Graduation Outcomes
  • Outreach and Inclusivity
  • Perception
The Union Human Resource Development Ministry on Monday released rankings of Indian educational institutions based on the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF). 
NIRF covered 3,500 different institutes in four different categories and the list was released by HRD minister Smriti Irani. NIRF is the first comprehensive framework to rank Indian institutions on the basis of a set of objective parameters.
